At DayGlo we’re not only the inventors, and the global manufacturing leaders, of fluorescent pigments. We also create a range of tinned fluorescent paints. In the past these have been used exclusively for industrial applications but are now available for everyone to enjoy our vibrant colors to create stunning effects.
Made with the original DayGlo fluorescent pigments, our 215, SRX and Endure tinned fluorescent paints are simple to apply and impossible to ignore. You can use them in a host of different ways, from painting safety markings to making boats and sporting equipment infinitely more visible.
These premium oil-based and water-based DayGlo fluorescent paints are also incredibly striking when used for outdoor advertising, store signs or trade exhibits – whatever it is that you want to get noticed. However you choose to use these DayGlo fluro paints, for maximum lightfastness and film integrity, we advise pairing them with our Filteray® clear overcoat.
Stir well. If thinning is necessary, use water, but be careful to avoid over thinning.
Using short strokes, apply one heavy coat of DayGlo SRX latex paint with a soft brush. Cover completely and smooth out as you go to produce a uniform deep layer approximately 1.5 mils thick when dry. Keep in mind that thin spots or streaks will fade prematurely. Allow to set-up or ‘top-dry’ for at least 10 minutes at 70oF.
Apply a second coat the same as the first. Allow three hours to dry before applying Dayglo SRX Filteray W overcoat.
For sign applications, the DayGlo SRX coat can simply be roughed in, slightly overlapping the copy line. Your copy line will not be hidden because DayGlo SCR paint is semi-transparent. Do not try to work the paint exactly to a line.
An opaque background should be used to cut in accurately to the copy line for sharp detail after the DayGlo SRX paint has top dried for 24 hours.
